Mohammad-Reza Raouf-Sheibani and Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al-Mangoush in their Sunday meeting in Tripoli sought ways for strengthening bilateral ties, including the reopening of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tripoli.
The two sides in the meeting also talked about making the required arrangements for establishment of the Iran-Libya Joint Economic Committee as a means for further strengthening of the bilateral ties.
According to Aljazeera New Network, the Iranian and Libyan diplomats in their meeting also focused on the most important regional and international developments, including the reestablishment of Tehran-Riyadh relations.
Najla Al-Mangoush said that Libya welcomes the reestablishment of Tehran-Riyadh relations, because this positive move is of great importance for the entire region and beyond.
Mohammad-Reza Raouf-Sheibani was appointed as the accredited ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Libya in late January, 2022, due to the developments in Libya, which were not appropriate for the reopening of the embassy and appointment of an ambassador at that time.
